Your first visit
A quiet room, one therapist and a few questions before we begin.
- 01
Step 1: Book your visit
Choose a session and a time on the booking page, or call (732) 555-0104. We confirm by text or email. The booking page asks a few questions about areas to avoid, and that is where health details belong, not the contact form.
- 02
Step 2: What to bring
Nothing but yourself. Wear loose, comfortable clothing. We provide the table, linens and towels. If there is a scent or an oil you would rather avoid, tell us when you book.
- 03
Step 3: When you arrive
Come a few minutes early. Shoes come off at the door and phones go on silent. Sheng greets you, and we talk for a few minutes about pressure and anything to leave alone, in Mandarin or English.
- 04
Step 4: What to expect
You lie on the table under a sheet or towel the whole time. Tuina can be firm, so tell us to go lighter or firmer, to pause or to stop. At the end you have a minute to sit up slowly.
Good to know
Before your first visit
What do I wear?
Whatever is comfortable on the way in. Undress only as far as you like. You are covered by a sheet or towel the whole time, and only the part being worked on is uncovered.
Am I covered the whole time?
Yes. Only the part being worked on is uncovered, and it is covered again when we move on.
What if I am ill or pregnant?
Ask your doctor before you book, and tell us when you arrive. We do not diagnose, and we will move a session if you are unwell.
