Our policies
How booking, cancelling, covering and pressure work here.
Booking and deposits
No deposit is needed. Choose a session and a time on the booking page, and a card on file holds the time. We confirm by text or email.
Canceling and running late
Please give us 24 hours' notice to cancel or move a session, by text, phone or email. There is one therapist, so a late change leaves an hour empty. If you are ill, tell us and we will move you. If you arrive late, the session still ends on time, so it may be shorter.
If you miss an appointment
A session missed without notice may be charged as your confirmation says. If something came up, call us and we will talk it through.
Children and companions
Massage here is for adults. A companion may wait in the front room, and a child may not wait in the treatment room during a session.
If you're not happy
If a session wasn't right for you, tell us within a few days and we'll make it right.
Tipping
Tips are welcome and never expected. You can add one on the booking page or leave it on the day.
Undressing and draping
You are covered by a sheet or towel the whole time. Only the part being worked on is uncovered, and it is covered again when we move on. Undress only as far as you like, and wear loose, comfortable clothing.
Pressure, consent and stopping
Before we start we ask about the pressure you like and any area to leave alone. Tuina can be firm, so tell us at any time to go lighter or firmer. You can pause, change position or end the session whenever you like, for any reason, and we stop right away.
Before your visit
Arrive a few minutes early with phones on silent. Eat lightly beforehand if you can. If there is an oil or scent you would rather avoid, tell us when you book, and we will use none.
When to ask your doctor first
If you are pregnant, or a doctor is seeing you for something that affects how you should be touched, ask them before you book and tell us when you arrive. We do not diagnose.
